Honing and Filling Holes in Travertine

The Problem

Located in La Jolla, this filled travertine was in poor condition. The fillers in the naturally-occurring holes were exposed with traffic and use. The honed finish was dull and looked dirty even after it was swept and mopped. We took the BEFORE image when we first arrived at the job site.

Our Solution

First, we filled the holes with tinted epoxy. Then we honed the travertine to a low sheen, just the way the homeowners wanted. With our travertine restoration processes, this floor came back to a like-new condition, as you can see in the AFTER image.
