Old Topical Sealer Makes Travertine Unsightly
Homeowners in Chula Vista, California contacted us because the appearance of their travertine had become diminished due to old topical sealer. In some places, the sealer had worn off, and elsewhere there was a buildup of dirt, grime, and contaminants in the places where the sealer remained. The floor looked worn and unsightly. The homeowners were tired of stripping and reapplying the topical sealer and wanted a long-lasting solution.

Our traditional natural stone restoration processes create the perfect finish without the need for continuously stripping and reapplying topical sealers.
Before we began working, we masked and protected the surfaces surrounding our work area. We completely stripped off all the old topical sealer and honed the floor to achieve a beautiful, velvety-soft matte finish. We also cleaned the stone and applied a high-quality impregnating sealer (not to be confused with a topical sealer) to inhibit staining.
The homeowners loved the fresh, clean, inviting look we were able to achieve.
