The Problem
This honed travertine floor in Pacific Beach, CA was in a home that had been rented to college students. With people moving in and out each semester, year after year, the floors had been exposed to a lot of heavy foot traffic and were in poor condition, as you can see in the BEFORE images.
Our Solution
First, we rehoned the floors to remove light surface damage and dirt and restore a nice, soft sheen. Then, we deep-cleaned the grout lines and filled the holes with epoxy tinted to blend with the surrounding stone. Finally, we resealed the floor to inhibit staining. The results were fantastic, as you can see in the AFTER images.
With the proper care, professional travertine restoration can return almost any travertine to like-new condition, even if it is dirty, scuffed, chipped, scratched, full of pits and holes, or otherwise damaged.
