Marble etch removal and refinishing
Marble Sink Had Etched Finish
Etches, often mistakenly called “water marks” can really stand out when the light hits just right, making the finish look sloppy and dirty. San Diego homeowners called us because they wanted the nice, glossy finish the countertops had when they were first installed.
Our Marble Restoration Process
Etching can’t be cleaned away with even the most powerful cleaners, and it certainly can’t be scrubbed away, as this would cause greater damage to the finish than the etching itself. Severly etched marble must be refinished. In other words, we honed the etches away using special diamond pads. We replaced these pads with increasingly finer grits and continued working until we achieved the beautiful glossy finish the homeowners wanted.
As you can see, we achieved fantastic results.
