PROBLEM
The honed marble floor in this San Diego residence had etch surface damage and the grout lines had turned dark. Dissatisfied with the appearance of the floor, the homeowners call Set In Stone Restoration for a FREE estimate.
OUR SOLUTION
We re-honed the floor, a process that removes a paper-thin layer from the surface, where all the damage is, revealing the brand new surface underneath. We deep-cleaned and sanitized the grout lines to return them to their original color, which blended nicely with the stone color. Our final step was to impregnate the stone with sealer to inhibit staining.
As you can see, the marble finish is clean smooth again, and the floor has nice an elegant, uniform appearance.
