Marble Vanity Etch Damage and Lack of Shine
Homeowners in Carmel Valley, California gave us a call because their Crema Marfil marble vanity had lost its shine. There were also a few spots of etch damage near the sink caused by cosmetic products, and the caulk was in poor condition.
Professional Marble Honing, Polishing, and Repair
First, we honed the marble to remove the etch damage and the fine scratches that were causing the dullness. We used a series of progressively finer grit diamond pads to bring the honed finish up to a glossy reflection. We also replaced the caulk. Our final step was to apply a high-quality impregnating sealer to inhibit future staining.
The homeowners were impressed with the results.
