Etched, Dull Marble Vanity
Homeowners in San Diego, California contacted us because the appearance of their marble vanity top had become diminished. There was surface damage caused by a combination of factors, including years of use without professional attention, overspray from glass cleaner used on the mirror, and cosmetic products.
Our Marble Restoration Process
We used painter’s tape and plastic sheeting to cover the vanity cabinet, floor, mirror, and walls surrounding our work area.
First, we honed the marble to remove a very fine layer from the surface of the stone, virtually erasing all the surface damage. Then, we used progressively finer grit diamond pads to achieve an elegant, reflective polish. The last step was an application of high-quality impregnating sealer.
The homeowners were very satisfied with the results.
