Ten-Year-Old Travertine Floor

This travertine floor had etches and scratches from ten years of foot traffic. The BEFORE image shows the dullness of the travertine from constant use, and how dirty the grout lines had become.

Our Solution

The grout was cleaned with our professional grout cleaning system, then the floor was re-honed to remove etches & scratches, then re-polished to bring it back to a like-new sheen. The travertine was also resealed with a solvent-based impregnating sealer to keep the natural color looking new and vibrant.

For more information about travertine restoration, such as etch removal, lippage removal (leveling uneven tiles), crack and chip repair, stain removal, sealing, filling naturally-occurring travertine holes, as well as honed, slightly polished, or high-gloss polished finish, watch one or more of these short videos: Floating TravertineTravertine Strip, Hone, and Repolish, and Travertine Repair, Restoration, and Polishing or visit our Travertine Services page.

When was the last time you had your travertine floors cleaned?

Depending on foot traffic, travertine floors should be professionally cleaned every two to four years.
