Travertine honing, polishing, and sealing
Dirty Tumbled Travertine
The shower pan in a San Diego home had a poor appearance because dirt, grime, and contaminants were trapped and embedded in the textured surface of the tumbled travertine tiles and grout lines. The travertine had a colorless appearance, and the finish was dull and covered with a buildup of soap and mineral deposits.
Our Shower Pan Refinishing Process
First, we honed the travertine to remove any surface damage and lightly polished to restore the finish. Then we deep cleaned the textured surface and grout lines to eliminate any residual contaminants and prepare the stone for our final step, an application of resin based color sealer over the sanded grout lines.
The homeowners could not believe the difference and were very happy they had called us to schedule professional travertine restoration services for their tumbled travertine shower pan.
